【液晶表示がドライヤーで直った】
症状：
・デジタル電波時計の液晶が一部表示されない。
・電池を交換したが、変化無し。


ネット情報：
・液晶表示装置の寿命
・回路の断線 → 基板上なら修理可能、フレキ配線部なら諦め
・日光に一日晒したら直った
・電池を抜いて、1年放置したら直っていた
・フレキ配線の根元をドライヤーで温めると直る（ハンダ不良部の再ハンダ？）

結論：
・表示部をドライヤーで熱することで直った。 → 下記詳細に続く

※うっすら黒くなっている部分は、常温に戻るに連れ消えて行った

詳細：
・表示部の前面に保護ガラスがあるので、本体を開けて表示部を露出
・表示部をドライヤーで熱する
・50℃ちょっとで液化した液晶物質が黒く見えてくるので、満遍なく黒くなるようにする
・自然冷却後、組み立て

試したこと：
・分解。断線の目視チェック → 異常なし
・紫外線が「何か」に作用するのかと日光に晒す → 変化なし
・フレキ配線の根元を熱する方法を試す → 熱っせられた液晶が黒く変化して冷めると戻る
　実は、ここで考えた。断線が無いなら、消えてる部分に液晶物質が無い、もしくは変質して電圧に反応してない？一度全体を温めれば液晶物質が行き渡り、性質も元に戻る？

捨てるつもりだったが、照明が暗くなると自動点灯する同じような良い製品が見付からず、修理してみた。
日光に晒して直った事例は、熱によるものだろう。
もしかすると、過去に捨てた関数電卓やトラベルウォッチもこの方法で直ったのだろうか…。

今回は運よく直ったが、温度によっては封入されている液晶物質が漏れだす可能性があるのでオススメはしない。

2016/09/20追記
弱風運転中のエアコンの下で症状が再発した。
送風が弱いと、冷気が時計に直撃するらしく、低温が原因のようだ。
置く場所を変える事で、ちゃんとした表示に戻った。
こんなので、この冬を乗り切れるのか？

2018/09/23追記
PCの上とか温まる場所でしか液晶が表示されず廃棄。
夜間バックライト点灯の安い製品はドラッグストアのカワチにありました。

フリーの翻訳ツールをインストールしたせいか、英文の転職案内のメールが立て続けに来た。
内3通は社名が違うが同文である。
