A study for the work selected and appeared in the right side of the 'prototype' of Lotus and Water Lily on the quarterly magazine ORU #8 (1995 Spring):
A regular octagram (i.e., 8-pointed star polygon) {8/3} [mathematical notation for polygram] in red is put on the top, a larger regular hexakaidecagram (16-pointed star polygon) {16/6} of orange is in the middle, and the largest regular triacontakaidigram (32-pointed star polygon) {32/12} of cream color is at the bottom : cruciform units fit in an appropriate symmetric arrangement at each polygram, and all of these are fixed in a structure.
Material: sheets of square origami (2 for top; 4 for middle; 8 for bottom),
________without using adhesives.

Paper strips with simple alternating valley- and mountain- creases in zigzag are formed into a trefoil knot -- to be viewed like a floral symbol.
Pretty work [so he thinks of, it seems] was displayed and presented by himself in 5th annual convention held by Kansai branch of Japan Origami Academic Society (JOAS) - also known as "Origami Tanteidan" - , April 17-18, 2004 at Kobe, Japan.

A piece of his original works sent to the editorial department of quarterly ORU. [By request: unfortunately, it was not selected to appear in the magazine #8 (1995 Spring).]
Its folding is similar to that of Lotus or Water Lily : petals and leaves are formed in some modifications on its two times repetition of self-similar structure.
Material: a sheet of square origami, without using adhesives.

Another modification : with some intention to be seen as water lily.
Material: 4 sheets of square origami for each flower; using double coated tape [i.e., tape with adhesive on both sides] to stick (four petaled) units each other.
% Need for adhesive depends on what kind of paper to use in folding. %
