A pentagram knot from a helical folded tape of tracing paper in appropriate length.
A piece of his work appeared in the article "Beauty of Convolution" Azuma Hideaki's spirals on the quarterly magazine ORU #6 (1994 Autumn).
[Note that his method gives only to make an approximate polygonal 'helix' (coiled structure like this), not a 'spiral' figure (like this) ; unfortunately, it seems that the expression 'spiral folding' has been spread (against his will)...]
Material: a tape of tracing paper, without using adhesives.

An example model of a [cellwise isometric] double covering map from an orientable compact flat surface with boundary ([topologically equivalent to] an annulus) to a non-orientable compact flat surface with boundary ([topologically equivalent to] a Moebius strip) - in the terminology of mathematics - :
The boundary of Moebius strip, equivalent to a simple closed curve topologically, is embedded to a (piecewise linear) trefoil knot in this case.
Material: a strip [in wide width] of tracing paper; with the use of an adhesive tape [to stick together both ends of the strip].

Made of a single paper strip in rather wide width.
The object was also displayed [beside Trefoil Roses] in 5th annual convention held by Kansai branch of Japan Origami Academic Society(JOAS), on April 17-18, 2004 at Kobe, Japan.
Material: a strip of translucent paper, with the use of an adhesive tape.
