An example of folding over two sets of the same number of parallel creases in different folding patterns these set in two directions perpendicular to each other, to → in an arithmetic progression and to ↑ in a geometric progression at the following diagram in the left side:
The arrangement of component cells, which depends on the folding diagram as defined, influences the shape of a folded thing to be similar to [something like] a natural shape of foliage/leaf.

Both two folded structures are composed of iterative folding patterns in a (finite) geometric progression :
Each image of the folded structures, the alternative folding type (above) and the symmetric formed type (below), may be seen as a leaf of some foliage plant.
